Look at these gingerbread cookies! Can you imagine the Christmas tree without them? I can't! I bake the gingerbread cookies every year, before Christmas and I hang them on the Christmas tree! It has already become a tradition.
- 350 g flour
- 1 egg
- 50 g butter
- 100 g of liquid honey (4-5 tablespoons)
- 80 g sugar
- 1 package of vanilla sugar
- spice to gingerbread (teaspoon)
- teaspoon baking soda
Butter, honey, sugar, vanilla sugar and gingerbread spice warmed in a saucepan, mix all these ingredients, melt them but do not boil. Cool the pulp, add an egg yolk, some flour and soda together.
Beat the egg white, add it and knead the dough. Sprinkle pastry board with some flour. Roll out the dough and cut out of it different shapes. Make a hole for the ribbon. For this purpose you can use a sipper. Put the gingerbread cookies on the baking paper, that they can freely swell. Bake under careful observation, about 10 minutes at a temperature of 150-170 degrees of Celsius. When baking, the holes may decrease so you can enlarge them with the sipper again, immediately after removing them from the oven.
Please decorate your gingerbread cookies when they are cool with icing - sugarby and own imagination.
